Thursdays at 8pm
Join us on Thursday nights for worship, stories, talks from the Bible, and opportunities to connect with other college students who are pursuing Jesus.
RealLife's "home" is Hitchcock Hall 131, but we will occasionally be "on the road" at other locations. Our schedule for this semester can be found on this page, and you can check out our Instagram feed for week-to-week updates on the location of RealLife. We can't wait to see you!
Grassroots
Spring Semester Talk Series
In this 5 week series, we will take a look at the impact made by the "unschooled, ordinary" people who had "been with Jesus" in book of Acts. Join us as we explore how these belivers practiced Blessing, Eating, Listening, Learning, and Sharing.
What is RealLife?
RealLife is a place where students bring students to grow in our understanding of who God is, who he says we are, and how that impacts our lives. You can expect stories of how God is at work in the lives of other students, worship led by the RealLife band, and a practical teaching from one of our Cru staff members.
At RealLife we like to laugh, have a good time, and think deeply about God, our lives, and the world around us. We love seeing new faces, so the door is always open and you're invited!
You are invited to join us for our annual Christmas RealLife on December 1st. It’s sure to be a festive night of worship, fun, reflection, and generosity.
This year, we’ll have the opportunity to care for children in our city by participating together in Franklin County Children’s Services’ Holiday Toy Drive. Every toy donated will go to help make Christmas special for a child in foster care in Franklin county!
Click the button below for a list of the most needed toys, and then bring your new, unwrapped donations to Christmas RealLife on December 1st at 8pm in Hitchcock Hall 131.
After 2000 years and all the wrong that has been done in his name.
In light of all humanity's social and scientific advances. On a campus like The Ohio State University...
Is Jesus still relevant today?
Join us Thursday, February 24 to hear Dr. Rikk Watts address these questions and more.
Initially trained as an aeronautical engineer, Rikk Watts worked for a number of years with IBM in large retail systems engineering while undertaking a degree in philosophy, art history, and sociology.
Rick later joined a parachurch organization engaged in Christian awareness projects in public schools and in providing crisis accommodation and various rehabilitation programs for the urban poor. He was a founding member of On Being, a major Australian Christian magazine, and supported himself and his family as a professional drummer.
Rikk served as Regent College’s Professor of New Testament from 1996-2016. Along with his position as a Research Professor with Regent, he is currently the Dean of Theology at Alphacrucis College in Australia.
Would you like to join the RealLife Band?
You can audition by following these four steps.
1Get Familiar
Thank you for your interest in auditioning for the RealLife band! First, please read this "Things to know prior to auditioning" document. Then take a look at this document to find the audition songs for your particular instrument.
2Record
For your audition, listen to the songs for your instrument with headphones, and play along as you record. Please learn the parts from the recording and play them as closely as possible. If you want to add some of your own style to your video, feel free.
3Before Submitting
Your completed video should only contain audio from your instrument. If you have any other previously recorded videos of your playing that you feel are a good representation of your playing abilities, feel free to submit them in addition to the required songs.
4Submit
Fill out this form to submit your audition file, and we will get in contact with you soon. If you have trouble recording or submitting your videos (I don’t have my instrument with me at school, the file is too big, etc.) please let us know and we’ll figure something out. Thank you again for your interest!
