• Columbus Summer Mission

    May 4th - August 3rd, 2020

For the past several summers there has always been a Summer Cru presence for students that are in Columbus taking classes, working, participating in an internship, or are from the Columbus area.

This summer we invite you to join us on the Columbus Summer Mission. The mission will include seven large group gatherings at Cru partnering churches, seven large group social events, service with justice focused nonprofits, and times of outreach and engagement at Ohio State, Columbus State, and throughout the city.

COMMUNITY PATH - In this path students will be able to enjoy Community Nights on Mondays and participate in a small group throughout the week. There will also be 2 - 3 Saturday service events in the city in partnership with our nonprofit partners; as well as enjoying many of the summer festivals and events that a Columbus summer has to offer.
Cost: $15 - snacks and food for Community nights, option to buy t-shirt

ENGAGEMENT PATH - This path is for those that want to take a deep dive into community, ministry, and learning about the city of Columbus. Students will be able to enjoy the Community Nights on Mondays while engaging in an Action Group led by Cru staff where out of that time they will take action by leading the weekly small groups and participating in outreach on Ohio State’s campus and in the city. For being missional we are encouraging students to ask for one day off of work, either Wednesday or Friday so that they can have a full day reserved for ministry engagement and outreach. They will also have the opportunity to participate in 2 - 3 Saturday service events in the city as well as enjoying many of the summer festivals and events that Columbus summer has to offer.
Cost: $150 - Outings/Special Meals, Ministry Materials, T-shirt, and percentage of funds towards service
